Yippee
Yippee! It’s that time again … iDSD and the sales are rockin’ all over Digiland! And in the middle of it all guess who’s the Featured Designer at Digitals? Me! Yippee! And I have a downright gorgeous kit for y’all to grab during the Daily Download … you won’t want to miss a single day!
The rest of my products (including CU and bundles are 30 -40% off at Digitals right now as well … have you seen the new kit Home Is Where the Love Is? You can get the kit or the whole bundle! Today’s Freebie is created by the lovely and talent Sharon (who is also my CT leader, and what a blessing she is to me!) using this fabulously heartfelt cozy new kit, you will find it at the end of this post.
On a more personal note … alot has happened since my last post and I apologize readers that I am usually so long between posts. I do struggle with some health issues and those have been testing me to my limits of late, though my surgery went well and I am healed from that quite nicely. I acquired a respiratory infection shortly after surgery that has got my asthma in an uproar and I just can’t seem to get back on track … add to that Dante and I having the stomach flu (poor bubba had to miss Trick-or-Treat with his Mommy ’cause he was pukin’) and you have a recipe for one tired Grandma. Oh but don’t get me wrong, there are so many joys in the midst of it all. The JOY of knowing that no matter what happens each day my Savior loves me and watches over me and will never allow me to face more than I can bear. The JOY of seeing my sister achieve her first year of sobriety. The JOY of watching my grown children become comfortable in their adulthood, and learning to let go of them. The JOY of watching my grandson grow and learn … did I mention Dante lost his first baby tooth? You can bet there is a tooth kit in the works! Well thanks for reading this and now for our freebie, Don’t forget to leave a note of thanks for Sharon who created the beautiful quick page for you and stop by my store each day to get the Daily Download Kit
PSSST … I am hosting the Lyrics Challenge at Digitals again
stop by and check out the awesome lyrics and scrap a page with me!
Lunch with a Ranting Mutant. Coupon Included.
Hello dear friends and readers. Please scroll down to the images below to skip the personal stuff about my and my family if you aren’t interested… otherwise read on…
Once again my sadly neglected blog is getting a small bit of my attention. Tomorrow morning at 6 am I will arrive at the hospital here in Billings to be prepped for surgery #4 to excise the extensive varicose veins in my left leg. 2 days before my visit with the surgeon I finally had my appointment with the foot specialist at Sports Medicine, which was good, I suspected I had bunions… I do, it was good to learn they are moderate and don’t need anything done right now though the doc did tell me something interesting… I also have a bone spur on top of my right foot at the ankle joint and extra bones in both of my feet. How odd it that? I felt like a total mutant when I went to lunch with my daughter after the appointment. Imagining the monster clumps of veins distorting my left leg and picturing odd random bones floating around in my feet. Then ordered my vegetarian lunch … oh yeah, I am allergic to eggs and meat… who is allergic to MEAT? Me. Well not all meat, I am not allergic to pork, but according to the Bible, pork is unclean. Again… feeling like a mutant, though my daughter made me laugh and we had an enjoyable lunch. I don’t mean to whine… I am just venting. I have a sizable team of doctors who cannot tell me the why’s… just the what’s… from things as odd and inconsequential as little extra bones in my feet to an immune system that doesn’t function properly, chronically enlarged spleen and lymph nodes, partial complex seizures (fortunately these are under control!) among other issues… the only thing they can tell me is why I am in pain, but that’s a no brainer and I knew that one. So surgery again in the morning… prayers appreciated. As much as I feel like a mutant and I am frustrated by that sometimes I know I am exactly who God created me to be. Psalm 139:14 “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.” Whatever is going on now is part of God’s plan for me, it makes me a stronger person, it helps me keep my eyes on the Lord because I so need Him to help me get through most days! 2 Corinthians 12:9 “And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” So hear I am boasting of my infirmities LOL…. I may feel like a mutant but I am God’s mutant, and He will get me through whatever comes… and in the end He will take away all the pain and imperfection and make me whole and complete in Him.
The recovery will be slow and boring…In the meantime I will greatly miss my designing and scrapping. My son has moved my PC near my bed so I can watch Netflix and my friends can call me on Skype … typing much on IM or email will be out until I am able to sit and use the keyboard for an extended time. Praise God insurance is covering most everything! The only thing not covered will be the in-home care after surgery for myself and my grandson so I am having some great sales to help me cover that! Your patronage and support is greatly appreciated!
At Digitals you can save 25% on any purchase over $5.00 with the coupon code 6121aeaf93 … multiple uses allowed! Coupon is valid during store sales!
The other two sales don’t require a coupon
DSW where you can find my CU goodies for $2 each and Digiridoo… where you will find my Scrapping pretties…
Dino says RAWR
Oh the joy of watching a child pretend! Especially when your child has Autism and pretending is a BIG step for them! I am thrilled to say Dante is pretending with dinosaurs on a regular basis! He pretends to be a dinosaur, feeds his dinosaurs, lets them play in his paint and playdoh… even teaches them to dance! He loves everything about Dinosaurs and wants to be a Rock Star! Imagine his glee when we found a T-shirt in his size at Gap with a T-Rex playing an electric guitar! Music is Dante’s other great loves and oh you should see him DANCE and hear him SING! I wish I could bundle up my joy and share it with you!
Well I guess that’s all for now! Today’s freebie is created by Deb (aka Candleworks) of my CT from one of my newer releases Shabby Spring! Thanks Deb for the beautiful cluster!!! Get the Bundle on sale this week for just $5 @ Divine Digital!

Hello Sunshine!
After a long cold winter and a long rainy spring the sun has finally arrived in Montana. It is still a bit chilly for my taste, but I prefer to be in the high temperatures complaining about the heat and trying to keep cool, rather than freezing my buns and trying to get warm. The weather has been so strange all over the world this last year, not just hear in the States, but it seems that there is one Disaster after another! So this year I am trying not to fuss as much as normal about the cooler weather here, since most of our nation and indeed much of the world is in much worse condition that we are faring here in Montana… though they say the flooding may become an issue here as well and rain is in the forecast for 5-6 day on the next week. For today I am happy for the sunshine and warmer temperatures we have had the last few days! I have been able to enjoy going to for walks with my grandson and playing in the park.
But one of my favorite parts of the arrival of the warmer, sunnier weather is the retreat of my S.A.D. symptoms and the return of my creative mojo (YAY)! This fall/winter season seems to have been harder than most on my creativity, but that may be the addition of some other health issues and concerns… the saddest of those being that I had to find a new home for my beloved cat due to allergy induced asthma. I still miss her terrible but I am adjusting to a pet free home and enjoying breathing easier.
Over the last couple days I have been browsing through photos from summers past and found a great photo of one of my favorite cats, and decided she was the perfect subject to feature in the Quick Page I made to showcase my newest kit, Shabby Spring… you can find the free QP at the bottom of this post. But isn’t she funny walking on her leash? I really think she thought she was a dog, she loved to play fetch, growled at strangers, and actually enjoyed walking on the leash…and was so protective of baby Dante when he came home from the hospital… an all- around great pet!

I also used the kit to make a page for a great new scrapping game at Digitals … it’s called “Scrap Relay” and if you love to scrap you really must check it out! I used a template from Connie Prince and My new Shabby Spring Collection to create this fun page… featuring of course my darling grandson Dante… photo from last summer, we haven’t had any days warm enough for the water here yet.
And finally… drumroll please … the newest collection!
Shabby Spring – 40% off til June 9th
Save $4 when you buy the Bundle!

News & a freebie.
Dear Blog… please forgive me for my neglect. I know I am a bad blog owner and I treat you terribly. You know I have been terribly busy with the family and a bit sick to top it off. Yes, I admit that is no excuse for neglecting you. So will you forgive me? I do have good news to share with you and my readers! Oh thank you, you are such a sweet blog!
Well then on with the news! We have added 3 very talented ladies to the creative team! Yes three! Welcome Marilyn, Marcia and Dorann to the team, I know you will all be great additions to the team! Here are some fab layouts from the team that I am especially fond of. They are created with my kits: Sunlit Morning, These Special Moments, and Southern Mist.
On the health front: I finally got my CPAP machine last week and am adjusting to it very easily… don’t know how I ever slept without it! The mask is a bit odd and I woke a couple mornings to find I had removed it sometime during the night, but I am getting used to it. Two nights ago I had to sleep without it so my pulse/o2 could be measured during the night, and I woke up with the worst headache! Amazing how fast your body adjusts, and rebels, to changes! A sadder note… turns out that horrible cough that wouldn’t go away was allergic asthma and I had to find a home for my much loved kitty. I miss her quite a bit, even more than I expected, but she has a good home with my son’s friend Devin, and with the combination of her not being here and the inhalers I am breathing much easier.
Dante news: Dante turned 4 since my last post and had a super fun birthday with the family and his friends Ben and Anna. We made lots of noise popping balloons and had lots of messy fun decorating our own cupcakes! He also got his report card and got an award for reading. I am still flabbergasted some days at his reading ability… I know Autistic kids are often advanced in some areas but wow! When his friends Ben and Anna come to play he reads to them and Ben (who is 5) is totally impressed that Dante can read, but doesn’t quite understand how it can be so.
Exciting News @ Digitals! Starting Nov 20th I will be the Featured Designer @ Digitals and have a super cute & whimsical kids faith kit for you to download part of each day from Nov 20 – 30 and will have all my products on sale for 50% off during those days. I don’t do sales like that often so don’t miss out. Also watch this blog for additional freebies that coordinate with the kit & coupons to save even more!
The holidays are coming and we have so much to be thankful for! I am thankful for far too many things to list here on this blog without putting us all to sleep, but I do want to take a minute to thank the Lord for my family, the improvements to my health, my dear friends both local and online, and for loving me and saving my soul!
My CT member Lori created today’s freebie from my kit Southern Mist. Southern Mist is a re-release of one of my favorite kits that needed to be repackaged. I have several more that need to be done and some new things in the works. Click the image to download. God Bless & have a great week!
